Fall is upon us, and for some, that means pumpkin spice lattes and bath and body works scented candles, but for me, that means chunky knits, boots, and reading next to a window while it’s raining (ok… maybe that was a bit dramatic? But, you get the point). I’ll cut to the chase: below are all my fall favorites, which include some styling pieces, books (if I get lucky enough to read them), and even some new music favorites. Let me know what your fall favorites are in the comments below.

I am currently OBSESSED with trousers and suit sets. I have really been into pairing trousers with cute baby tees or even cropped tanks and some fun layered jewelry. I just love how utilitarian and trendy it looks. I love the effortless pant from Artizia and have been wearing my Zara wide flow leg pants non-stop. I have them in green, black, and nude. I also just recently bought a velvet blue suit set from Zara. Whether I dress them up or down, I think these trouser pants are a classic and should be a staple in everyone’s wardrobe.

What screams fall more than sweaters?! I have a bit of a sweater obsession (I can thank my mom for this one). I just think they are so cozy, fashion-forward, and cute. Who wouldn’t want to walk around practically wearing a blanket? This fall, I am really into oversized and chunky knits. I just think they look so cool and are obvi comfy. In an earlier post, I talked all about fall fashion trends (click here to read it), and I mentioned that saturated colors are in. That being said, I really want bright, overly saturated knits like the ones above. If you want to splurge (a sweater like this is worth the investment) then I recommend checking out Hope Macaulay or Aritzia, or H&M has some great basic options. Some Etsy shops, like BasicsonHand, also make great dupes (I am in the process of placing my order with them)!

I can’t get enough of baby tees! Pair them with shorts, under a dress, with jeans or trousers (the possibilities are endless). I love a cute cropped moment, and I just think they make any outfit look fun and cute. My absolute favorites are the ones from Réalisation Par! I also love the basic ones from brandy, like the cowboy one above! You can also check out Revise (which is currently having a sale) or Amazon for some great options too.

My fall reading list is super long… Even though I know I don’t have time to read half of them (honestly, at this point I would be lucky enough to just get through one book), I thought I would still share them all because maybe some of you have the time to read these (If you do, please let me know your thoughts, so I don’t waste my time reading a boring book). I have been dying to read Simone De Beauvoir’s The Woman Destroyed. Without giving too much away the book dives deep into the lives of three women and explores the obstacles they face. Another book on my list is Homesick For Another World by Ottessa Moshfegh. The book is a collection of eerie short stories. I have been dying to read This Is For the Women Who Don’t Give A Fuck by Janne Robinson and My Friend Anna: The True Story of a Fake Heiress by Rachel DeLoache Williams, which gives me bling ring vibes.

Get into the fall groove with some new tunes! I have to give my roommate, Taylor, credit for almost all of these because she practically curates my taste in music. My current fall music favorites are good wife and cherry blossom from Kacey Musgrave’s new album, star-crossed. I have also been loving Knife Talk and Pipe Down on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album. Taylor also introduced me to some indie music and I love the song 7PM by Lilacs and Lizzy McAlpine. Another favorite is Heavy Hearted by the Jungle Giants (I play it on repeat).
Fall is finally here, and I can’t wait for all the leaves to fall and the air to get chillier. Fall in Syracuse is the best time of the year. If you have any fall trends, Starbucks drink orders, new music, or even books you think I should try comment them below!
