“And Just Like That…” Sex and the City is Back!

HBO Max recently revealed that the lives of Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York Goldenblatt, and Miranda Hobbes will continue. Although the confident and spicy Samantha Jones will not be joining the revival, the other three original cast members have confirmed their participation in the show. The new chapter of their lives called “And Just Like That…” will explore their love lives and friendships in their 50s. The show is set to start filming later this spring. Sex and the City is known for its drama, relationships, comedy, and lavish fashion, and I thought what better than to create a blog post predicting what the three characters would wear today.

Known for her fashion-forwardness and individualistic style, Carrie Bradshaw, is a fashion icon. Her fearless ways with fashion are emulated in everything she wears, and today I would see her wearing the most current designers. Notorious for her fur coat, I could see Bradshaw wearing a colorful fur coat from Stand Studio. Their unique and bold coats fit perfectly with her personal style. While she will still be wearing her iconic Manolo Blahnik heels, she has upped her game and has moved onto Amina Muaddi heels, the current must-have shoe. I see Bradshaw wearing the most trendy bags, and like her many clutches, I see her wearing the Jacquemus Le Chiquito Noeud bag, something also very impractical yet super trendy. If she did want to wear a clutch, though, she would choose one from Bottega Veneta. Bradshaw would be seen in Prada’s Corset dress. With its fitted waist and full skirt, this dress was made for her. She wouldn’t be afraid to accessorize, so she would be wearing La Manso rings or a Pearl and Chain initial necklace from Joolz by Martha Calvo. Carrie Bradshaw’s courageous fashion choices and distinctive style would turn heads even today. I’m sure if she had an Instagram she would be an Influencer with millions of followers.

Charlotte York Goldenblatt’s girly and preppy style is often overlooked, but if you take a closer look, her style is much more than American and preppy, she wears chic pieces that are essentially timeless. Her overall style is very attainable. Drawing her inspiration from the ’50s, Charlotte is a true prepster. Her feminine touch is seen in all her outfits, so I have zero doubts that she wouldn’t be wearing preppy patterns like gingham. I definitely could see her wearing Valentino’s Gingham green coat, not only for the print but also because York wore a lot of Valentino throughout the show. I also see her wearing some more contemporary DVF wrap dresses, something classic but with a modern print. Gucci’s mini dress was made for her. The girly color and traditional print just scream Charlotte. She will still be seen carrying a mini Dior Lady bag, but by now has upgraded to a staple, a Hermes Birkin bag. She will have upped her jewelry game with contemporary classics, like the Dior Pearl Earrings. She will also accessorize with headbands, like this pink Prada one. As far as shoes, and we know Charolette loves her shoes, I definitely see her in these nude Stuart Weitzman heels. They are a classic nude heel, but are a bit elevated with their silhouette and embellishments, making them perfect for her now.

Miranda Hobbes’ androgynous personal style is much different than the other girls. Her style is very functional and fits into her lifestyle of being a mom and lawyer who lives in Brooklyn. Miranda doesn’t have time for B.S., so her clothes imitate her boss attitude. Today, I would see Miranda running around in the Balenciaga Dad Sneakers. They are not only on-trend but also very practical. I could also picture Hobbes wearing this Isabel Marant baseball hat. The simple yet unique design will work perfectly with her style. Being that Miranda is definitely a boss, and was seen in some amazing suits, I think she would love to wear this oversized belted Bottega Veneta Blazer. I could also picture her in Alice and Olivia’s Tuxedo Romper, pairing it with some tights underneath. She would accessorize with a unique pair of sunglasses, like these Outta Love Glasses from Le Specs that offer a minimal 90’s vibe. Miranda would carry this Moreau Paris tote in this gorgeous forest green. The spacious bag will allow her to carry all the things she needs as a mom and lawyer and, of course, some extra accessories.

All three girls have their own distinct personal styles, which have evolved over the years during their show. It should be interesting to see how their style has changed and improved and what they are wearing now. I can’t wait to watch “And Just Like That…” to see how the stylists style the three girls and newer cast members.
