There’s now a workout for every part of your body!
I always knew working out was good for you, but who knew that you could and should be working out your face! Face Gym, a “facial fitness experience”, combines powerful “workouts” and skincare to curate the perfect “workout” regime for your face! Founded by Inge Theron, Face Gym’s techniques work to increase collagen, facilitate cell renewal, stimulate blood circulation, all while focusing on lymphatic drainage to help tighten and tone your skin! With locations in London, Los Angeles, and New York City, Face Gym is changing the skincare game.
While I was walking in Chelsea, London I stumbled upon a store called Face Gym and instantly recognized the name from reading about it in various other magazines and seeing it on Instagram. I immediately booked myself an appointment, and the next day at 10:50am my face was receiving the most enjoyable workout I have ever done!
I was greeted by my “trainer”, Charlie, who began with a consultation. She asked me standard questions about what concerns I had with my skin and what my skincare routine looks like, but then she began to ask questions such as “where do you hold the most tension in your face?”, “do you get migraines or headaches?”, “do you grind your teeth or get allergies?”. I immediately knew this was not going to be my standard facial. She suggested that I do the “Signature Sculpt” which lifts, tones, and sculpts the face, and the “Clean and Lift” which offers a deep clean. I eagerly agreed, and we began our training session.

Charlie began by cleansing my face with a gentle cleanser, prepping my skin for “training.” Just like any workout, we started off by “stretching” my face using the Face Ball, a small red yoga ball for your face. The ball helps release tension and preps the skin for the intense workout ahead. Next, using a gentle oil, she warmed up my face by lightly massaging. After my skin was warmed up, we began the “cardio” phase where she moved her hands in fast upward strokes. While it kind of looked scary, I found the motion to be completely painless and quite a unique feeling! Watch the video below to see exactly what I mean.

After the easiest cardio sesh I’ve ever had, we began the sculpting part of the workout. She first used her hands to get any knots out of my face. I was surprised to find out just how much tension I held in my jaw, forehead, and even nasal area! Charlie ended up using their Multi-Sculpt tool to help contour the skin, release any blockage in the muscles, aid in lymphatic drainage, and target any pressure points. This was my favorite part, and I already purchased their tool online!
Now it was time to start heavy lifting! Charlie applied an activating gel and began using a facial toning device called the Pure Lift Face that caused my facial muscles to contract involuntarily. The device strengthened my fiber muscles, toning the skin and improving its firmness. The whole process was painless and also very funny as my shoulder would jerk up anytime she used it on my neck. To see the tool in action check out the video below!

She then cleansed my skin and we moved onto a Skin IV treatment. The first step was detox water that deeply cleanses the skin. It felt like a cool burst of air from an airbrush was being applied to my skin. She then went in with a chemical IV treatment (don’t worry, there are no needles involved) to help keep any dirt out of my skin followed by a vitamin infusion. For the vitamin infusion, she went with a CBD-infused treatment. The facial ended with her mixing a vitamin C serum and moisturizer and then topping my face off with some SPF. I left feeling glowy, toned, and sculpted! The results could not have been better. Let’s just say I already have my appointment booked for when I return to LA. If you’re ever in London and go to the Chelsea location, be sure to ask for Charlie!
